      Thanks for the question. Forensic psychology degrees (either BSc or MSc) will cover topics such as the factors that have led people to commit crimes, and how psychologists work with people to reduce the risk that they will carry out crimes in the future. Most degrees also explore investigative techniques that the police use and interview techniques.

      Most forensic psychologists will have completed a general psychology degree before specialising in forensic psychology so they will have studied a broad range of psychology topics. Sometimes people don’t expect that psychology also involves maths – but all psychology degrees will also include statistics and research skills.
