ORANGE! orange is my favourite colour – mainly I think because of orange smarties – easily the ones with the best taste 🙂
My favourite ‘orange fact’ is that it is the colour used on aeroplane’s black box flight recorders (this is the bit that people try to find if an aeroplane has a crash, as it records what happened just before the accident). It is used as it is the easiest colour for our eyes to see in low light conditions. I like the fact that it is called the black box but it is in fact orange!
Some psychology theories call the mind a ‘black box’ too – I sometimes think this seems a bit like cheating as you then don’t need to explain what is happening so much – as ‘it is happening in the ‘black box”!
There we go – I sort of made a link between orange and psychology 🙂

I always feel that if I have an answer to this question, then I should be showing more interest and commitment to that colour as a favourite in my daily life. Like, if I said ‘red’ I immediately start thinking, ‘if I love red so much, why haven’t I got a red room in my house, or red clothes, or a red car?’ Actually I do have a red car, but that isn’t why I got it!
So, I think its red, but I don’t feel that strongly about it and wouldn’t really say its a proper favourite as a result. Maybe I think too much about what every word and action means …

Blue!
Blue often gets associated with sadness but I think it’s a really soothing colour.

This may not come as a huge surprise, but black! If I had to choose a “real” colour i’d probably go purple!
