      Hi amburito,

“Abnormal psychology” looks into unusual things in our minds, behaviours, emotions and so on. This doesn’t mean weird or wrong but just uncommon.

One uncommon thing I am very interested in is called “Panic Disorder”. People suffering from this disorder have regular panic attacks for no reason. Panic attacks make the indivual feel intense fear for short bursts of time. They might feel like their heart is going crazy and that they are sweating heavily. If this happened to you, you might begin to believe your panic is caused by something going wrong with your body, but the opposite is true. Your disorder is causing your body to react like it is afraid.

What is really cool, is you can help treat panic disorder by wearing sports watches and heart rate monitors during an attack, to show yourself that your heart rate only increased after panic, not before.

      Thanks for the question 🙂
